AUCTION OF PLEDGES
A big thank you to everyone who supported us with this Auction. This involved local businesses, families and friends. We raised the magnificent total of over £3000 for school funds and £110 for Cancer Research in the interval!

MILLENNIUM WOOD
This week we have been very grateful to Dr. and Mrs. Pearse for allowing us to visit the Millennium Wood which we have planted on their ground at Darracott. Unfortunately the 'permanent marking' on the labels has disappeared but this did not seem to detract from the children's interest and we have planted family group trees so that all children can watch the development of particular trees over the years. We are looking forward to visiting again in the late spring when there will be even more changes to see.

TASTER DAY
Years 5 and 6 had a very good afternoon at Braunton despite the weather. They had the opportunity to try 2 activities within a choice of archery, climbing, volleyball, athletics, dance, gymnastics, football, netball, tag rugby, basketball, trampolining and problem solving which was definitely the muddiest! We have Helen Parkinson, Braunton's Sports Co-ordinator to thank for this event which is part of a Government initiative to create a healthier society.

BUILDING
Many of you may have heard we have a few frustrations with the building programme but we are still hoping that they will be resolved positively!

TUESDAY'S SOIREE
On Tuesday 4th December we are going to celebrate what children in Guitar and Recorder Clubs have been doing this term. All of them will have the opportunity to perform in our soiree on Tuesday at 7.00 p.m. in the main classroom. Light refreshments will be served and there will be a collection for the children's chosen charity which will be decided tomorrow. Please sign the slip below if you would like to attend. This will give us an idea of numbers.

FRIDAY ASSEMBLY
Mrs. Rita Evans has been taking all the children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 for Dance this term. They have produced some excellent work which we would like to share with the younger children and any parents who can come to our Assembly at the Village Hall Friday 7th December, at 11.30 a.m.
