CHRISTMAS CARDS
The Christmas Post Box will be in the school hallway from Monday 10th December so children may start to bring in their cards next week. Please make sure the envelopes are marked with the Christian name and surname of the child who is to receive it.

LORRAINE UPWARD
Lorraine will be leaving us on Friday 7th December to begin her travels with husband Matt on Sunday. We look forward to hearing of their adventures when they return at the beginning of the Summer Term 2002. Judith Ash will be supporting the staff, and particularly Class 2, until Lorraine returns.

PROGRAMME OF EVENTS
Friday 7th December DANCE ASSEMBLY at the Village Hall 11.30 a.m.
Monday 10th December until Friday 14th December
Book Sale with books from Barnstaple Book Shop
Thursday 13th December - COFFEE MORNING from 10.00 a.m.
The children will be raising money for the Blue Peter Appeal this year and the parents will be raising much needed money for our school improvements.
At 11.30 a.m. the children will be performing a short selection of musical items just before the drawing of the Grand Raffle. The first prize for this is a hamper.
Please help support this event if you possibly can. There are lists and more information in the school hallway.
Friday 14th December - CHRISTMAS LUNCH - Reminder - If your child does not usually stay to lunch please send in £1.25 per child in an envelope marked with the child(dren)'s name on to Mrs Ash on Monday 10th December.
Tuesday 18th December CHRISTMAS SERVICE at 6.30 p.m. in St. George's Church.
Wednesday 19th December Children break up for Christmas Holiday

LOST PROPERTY
Please check the box in the school hallway to see if there are any items of clothing belonging to your children among which are a fleece jacket, black body warmer and black leather school shoes. We will be disposing of any items left at the end of term.

There will be no Newsletter next week so we would like to take this opportunity to wish everybody a Happy Christmas and we look forward to seeing the children back in school on Thursday 3rd January 2002.
