Thursday 10th January, 2002 Issue No. 152

On Tuesday we had an inspiring session of story telling and mask making with Michael and Wendy Dacre. All the children had the opportunity to enjoy their talents and this was a wonderful beginning to our topic on Africa. Our overviews of the term will be distributed next week but if anybody does have any contacts in Africa or any artefacts we would like to hear from them.

Next week a group of children in Key Stage 2 will be starting a course of swimming lessons with Mrs. Anne Marks at Woolacombe on Tuesday and Friday afternoons in school time. The rest of the children in Key Stage 2 will be going to Braunton School to take part in athletics and racquet skills activities including badminton for the older children. All the above children will receive a letter tomorrow which needs to be returned on Monday.

CLUBS
Netball and Football will start again on Thursday 17th January from 3.30 - 4.15 p.m. Hobbit Club will continue for those who already take part. Recorder Clubs will start again with Mrs. Tamlyn and Mrs. Mortimer and they will inform the children involved. There will be a computer club but it cannot start next week. More details to follow.
