BIG>GEORGEHAM CHURCH OF ENGLAND PRIMARY SCHOOL

Thursday 7th March, 2002 Issue No. 159
DRUM CRAZY
The younger children have already had a great time preparing for the performance tonight. We look forward to seeing you and the children (without uniform, jewellery or watches) at 6.30 p.m.
MOTHERING SUNDAY
There is a service in Church at 10.30 on Sunday. Please see the notice outside the school.
NON UNIFORM DAY
FROGS are not able to hold their normal Coffee Morning on the last day of term for obvious reasons. Therefore they would like to raise some more money to support the school and have suggested a non-uniform day on Friday 22nd March in aid of the building work for which there still needs to be fundraising. We suggest a donation of £1.00 per child, which should be handed in to the class teacher, but any amount will be much appreciated.
INCREASE IN SCHOOL MEAL PRICES
We have been notified that the price of a school meal is to be increased to £1.30. The new price will come into effect on Monday 15th April, 2002.
NEWS FROM FROGS
As previously mentioned FROGS are unable to hold the Easter coffee morning this year so would like to hold a raffle with an Easter theme at the Drum Crazy evening tonight.
Progress report on the collection of tokens and vouchers.
Walkers set us an 'Early Bird' target of 2,500 tokens, which, if we achieve, would mean that we would be entitled to 250 free bonus tokens. To claim these extra free tokens we have to have collected the 2,500 tokens by the end of March - at the moment we have 204 so as you can see, we need lots more and quickly. Your help please.
All Tesco vouchers have to be in school by 26th June. We have collected 400 as at the end of February so please keep up the good work.
Thank you to those people who anonymously drop tokens through our letter box or send them through the post.
Date of next FROGS Meeting - Thursday 21st March, 2002 in the Playgroup Room at 2.00 p.m.
