Thursday 13th June, 2002 Issue No. 168
We hope you had a good holiday. We certainly enjoyed the celebrations at Georgeham Village Hall on Friday 31st May. Union jacks and bunting hung across the hall and the tables were all laid out. Our contribution was to perform a few songs to entertain those adults present. But the party tea provided by the WI was superb - a really traditional tea with sandwiches, sausage rolls, cakes, ice cream etc. and it wasn't long before the plates were empty and then all the children were presented with a splendid commemorative mug from the Parish. Such a special occasion will long be remembered by the children and staff, and it served as a great reminder of the value of a lively village community. Our most sincere thanks go to the members of the WI and the Parish for inviting us and treating us so wonderfully.
Reminder - Tomorrow Friday 14th June is a non pupil day.
New Kitchen
Our new kitchen will up and running on Monday 24th June and there is a menu on the reverse of this Newsletter for your information. Please fill in the slip below if your child(ren) will be having school lunches from the above date to enable Mrs. Ash to have a fairly accurate idea of numbers. Please return it by Tuesday 18th June.
School Photographs
The School Photographer will be in school on Monday 17th June. Please make sure that the children look smart in their school uniform. We have decided not to have a whole school photo this year but will definitely have one next year.
