CLERK TO GOVERNORS
We are seeking to appoint a Clerk to Governors to support the work of the governing body. This will involve attending evening meetings (approximately 2 per term), writing minutes and dealing with correspondence. The person would need to be competent in word processing.
It is assumed that 80 hours per annum will be worked and the payment will be in twelve equal amounts totalling £615. Training will be given.
Please apply by letter enclosing CV and details of 2 referees to the Chair of Governors, The Rectory, Georgeham, N. Devon EX33 1JS. Closing date is 30th August, 2002.
MEALTIME ASSISTANT
We would like to appoint two new Mealtime Assistants next term to be part of a team to promote positive and active lunchtime experiences. Training will be a very important part of these appointments. Please apply by letter to the school, enclosing a CV and details of a referee by 30th August, 2002.
NEW BUILDINGS
We are delighted with everything that is already complete, just Class 4 or the 'new hall' to go now. The ceiling is due to come down on Monday and be finished by the end of August. The new accommodation will be officially opened on the morning of the first day of the Autumn Term. Nick Harvey hopes to be with us and we also intend that each child will release a labelled balloon as part of this celebration. Parents and friends are welcome to join us from 9 a.m. until the end of the proceedings.
COMPUTER TROLLEYS
We have two computer trolleys which we can no longer use in school. If anybody would like these and would be willing to make a donation to the school fund please contact the office.
PHOTOGRAPHS
If you have any outstanding money and/or photographs at home please bring it in to school tomorrow morning.
SECOND HAND UNIFORM
We have a small quantity of second hand uniform. If anybody would like any of it for next term please make a small donation.
The children finish school tomorrow for the summer holidays and we will finish with our Year 6 leavers' assembly. We will also be saying goodbye to Nichola Feesey and Matthew Jenkins who have been a very valuable part of our school this year. They have both gained qualified teacher status and attended their official ceremony on Monday evening near Tiverton which was a very special occasion for all the 18 SCITT students that have been training at 10 different schools within the County. Finally we will also be saying goodbye to Ray Perrin our caretaker during the holidays as he takes up more work much closer to his home.
Please make sure your children take everything they own home tomorrow. Have a really enjoyable break and we look forward to seeing everybody refreshed and ready to go on Wednesday 4th September.
