ANNUAL PARENTS MEETING WITH GOVERNORS/EXTRAORDINARY FROGS MEETING
This took place on Monday last and was very well attended. David Rudman chaired the meeting and discussed the report that was sent to you all. Sue Mortimer talked about the Healthy School Award that we are trying to achieve and showed the parents some of the new play equipment which we have been given. This was much appreciated by everybody present. It was also announced that we have been awarded a £10,000 grant from Sport England Grounds for Improvement matched with a £2,000 pledge from FROGS to build a trim trail around our school playing field and begin to create an outside area for our early years children.
At this meeting we were able to elect a new FROGS Committee and thank everyone for the tremendous efforts that were made last year to raise more than £7,000 for our building projects. The new committee is as follows:

HARVEST ASSEMBLY
This will take place tomorrow at 2.30 p.m. in the new school hall. Parents are very welcome to join us. We would like to make a real contribution to Barnstaple Poverty Action Group so please bring gifts of dried and tinned goods into the school hall tomorrow morning.
ADVANCE NOTICE
Look out next week for the Webb Ivory catalogues which will be distributed with the Newsletter. We are hoping to get the order posted during the half-term holiday so that the goods will be with us sooner rather than later. This is a valuable source of extra income and we value your support.
GET CREATIVE
The Playgroup is collecting the coupons from the top of Persil soap powder for the above scheme which will help provide craft equipment. If you have any coupons please drop them in to the Playgroup.
FANCY DRESS PARTY/DISCO - FRIDAY 18TH OCTOBER
Tickets are still available for the above. Please fill in the slip below if your child(ren) would like to attend and return it to the box in the school office as soon as possible. There will be a prize for the best costume. There will also be a 20p Lucky Dip.
