NEWS FROM FROGS

Fancy Dress Disco/Party (Fri 18th October)
A big, big thank you to all those who supported this event. The evening proved to be a great success. Everyone made a tremendous effort with their costumes, which were all wonderful, however, unfortunately we could only have one winner in our 'best dressed' competition and that was Sam Austin who received a £10 gift token for his realistic 'mummy' outfit.

A special thank you must go to Andy Hodge for being our D.J. and games host for the evening. As well as the children enjoying a fun night out, we are happy to report that the evening made a profit of £170 for the School.

PLAYGROUP CAKE SALE
Stepping Stones Playgroup desperately needs your help/support in order to stay open. As part of a major fund-raising programme, they are holding a cake/local produce stall on Friday from 3.00 p.m. in the school hall. Please support this event and help keep the Playgroup open by either producing cakes for us to sell or by purchasing cakes or produce. It may just save you the trouble of baking for the week-end and at the same time you will be helping to save Stepping Stones' future.

BE SEEN BE SAFE
Do you remember the Nationwide's 'Cat's Eyes for Kids' campaign last year when all children were issued with reflectors? Please get them out again as the evenings are going to be darker with winter approaching and the clocks changing. Our new Reception children will have received one of these this afternoon. We need to be seen to be safe.

REMINDER TO PARENTS OF YEAR 6 ONLY
If you have not already done so, please complete and send in to school the form contained in the booklet 'The Next Step' by Friday 8th November.

UNIFORM
We have several articles of uniform un-named particularly sweatshirts. Please make sure you come and find them and take all possessions home including lunch boxes at half-term.

WEBB IVORY CATALOGUES
We shall not be distributing these catalogues this year as they have not yet arrived in school and it is much too late to start ordering after half-term.

REMINDER
The children break up tomorrow, Friday 25th October, for half term and return on Monday 4th November. We hope everyone enjoys the half-term holiday.
