DATES FOR YOUR DIARY
We seemed to have a very busy first half of the term and looking in the diary the second half seems no different with the run up to Christmas! There was a taster morning for sports activities at Braunton School for Class 4 and orienteering experiences with Helen Parkinson our sports coordinator for class 3. There was also the Harvest Festival and a visit from James Tonks, the author of The Sword Watchers which really inspired some very special writing. Classes 1 and 2 had a visit from Steve Kibble our PE Adviser. Another of our visitors was the National Trust Warden for Baggy Point who introduced us to the Guardianship scheme and today Class 3 have been to visit Baggy Point returning very enthusiastic about the whole concept. Many of you may know that Mrs. Rita Evans has been teaching dance to all the children this term and in order to incorporate this into our Christmas presentation we have decided this year to book Croyde Village Hall for a performance in the afternoon and evening on Thursday 12th December. The other Christmas activity you will need to put in your diary apart from the coffee morning is the Christingle Service at Georgeham Church on Sunday 15th December at 5.30 p.m. Rev. Rudman will be coming into school and setting the scene during an assembly on Friday 13th December.

COFFEE MORNING - WEDNESDAY 4TH DECEMBER
Please make a note of this date in your diary. You will be hearing more from Mrs. Tamlyn regarding this date and the children's own fundraising activities, but as far as FROGS are concerned we will be serving coffee and mince pies. There will be a cake/home made produce stall (all contributions will be most welcome) and a craft stall (again all items will be welcome) so why not show off those hidden talents and get creating now. There will also, of course, be a raffle and once again this year we are asking for people to donate items for the main prize of a Christmas Hamper. Please see the list displayed in the school foyer of items needed and sign against whichever item you are able to donate. For those who wish to bring goods in to school - these can be left in the hamper as from Monday 18th November.

MENUS
Please look on the reverse of this Newsletter to find copies of the school dinner menus for the next four weeks.

WEB IVORY CATALOGUES
As you will already be aware, we will not be distributing these this year - apologies to those who were looking forward to ordering items for Christmas. We will endeavour to find an alternative source in readiness for Christmas 2003.

REMINDERS
(1) If you think any of the personal details have changed on the emergency contact form which is kept by the telephone in the office please let us know as soon as possible.
(2) Please let Mrs Ash have dinner money in an envelope with the name of the child on it. This avoids any confusion as to who has paid what when she is reconciling it for banking.
