The Celebration of the Queen's Golden Jubilee at Georgeham!

The flag few high over Georgeham School as we all walked to the Village Hall. We were looking forward to the party to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee. Union jacks and bunting hung across the hall and the tables were all laid out. Our contribution was to perform a few songs to entertain those adults present. But the party tea provided by the WI was superb, a really traditional tea with sandwiches, sausage rolls, cakes, ice cream etc etc. and it wasn't long before the plates were empty and then all the children were presented with a splendid commemorative mug from the Parish. Such a special occasion will long be remembered by the children and staff, and it served as a great reminder of the value of a lively village community. Our most sincere thanks go to the members of the WI and the Parish for inviting us and treating us so wonderfully.
